CHALLENGEFAMILY world bonus
CHALLENGEFAMILY has introduced a pro athlete bonus scheme to its races. The initiative provides professional athletes with the opportunity to race for a share of a USD 150,000 end-of-season bonus as well as a prize purse at the races.
The USD 150k bonus will pay five deep across both men and women with the top ranked pro taking home $30k, second will earn $20k and third will win $14k, fourth $8k and fifth $3k. Ranking will be decided through a points system based on placings earned.
Athletes are only able to count their best six CHALLENGEFAMILY races during the season, of which no more than one can be a full distance race. In the advent of a tie the prize money will be averaged between the two athletes and corresponding places.
For the first time this year, athletes can earn points for the World Bonus at The Collins Cup. Per start wave the number one will get 250 points, the number two 200 points and the number three 150 points. Athletes have to race a minimum of three CHALLENGEFAMILY races (excluding The Collins Cup) to be part of the World Bonus’ final ranking.
